Jonah-Shopping at the Chatuchak Market

Today was the second full day of activities in Bangkok for our culinary crew from MCC of Omaha. We started the day bright and early at 6am carousing the streets surrounding our hotel in search of breakfast. After a tall iced coffee and some delicious little doughnuts we found a variety of grilled meats and banana leaf pouches that packed amazing flavors and textures. Soon after the morning outing we hopped the subway to the Chatuchak weekend market. With over 8,000 vendors we shopped for nearly 6 hours. The array of food, clothes, and trinkets is mind blowing and time consuming. This photo (photo soon to come, failed in uploading) shows what can purchased for less than $80 American. We are very happy with our spread. Dinner is right around the corner so I will post more soon.
