Fries Me to the Moon (Peter, Thursday)

Last week, while exploring the basement of a high end shopping center in Bangkok, Laura and I found a curious place. It was named Fries Me to the Moon and advertised "High quality American Fries." After taking a closer look, we discovered that their signature offering was a basket of mixed bar food topped with a meat sauce, cheese, and oregano. Although intrigued, we passed up our chance.

On Thursday in Khao Yai, Laura and I once again found ourself wandering an upscale shopping center (that just happened to be right next to our hotel), I smelled something... That something was onion rings. I turned around and lo and behold; Fries Me to the Moon. We were in the mood for a snack, and gave FMTTM the old college try.

We chose the signature "Fries to the Moon," a blend of fries, curly fries, onion rings, hash-brown patty, smiley fry, waffle fries, and mozzarella cheese stick topped with chicken, pork, or beef topping. We chose pork which to our surprise turned out to be thinly sliced hot dog in pomodoro sauce.

After some research, we discovered that the chain only has the two locations that we found at random. The Khao Yai location was the busiest place on the block. FMTTM has a great schtick, a good following, and a surpassingly solid offering. See our video tasting review below.
